Simple Columnar

This image illustrates a section of the gall bladder, with an unusually tall simple columnar epithelium that specializes in absorbing water to concentrate bile. These cells are similar to cuboidal epithelia but are taller and packed together in a honeycomb-like arrangement. Note how the nuclei of adjacent cells tend to be at the same level. The nuclei are elongated and said to have polarity, in that they may be located toward the base, the center, or the apex of the cytoplasm. How would you describe the polarity of the nuclei in the simple columnar epithelium of the gall bladder?
Answer: In the image, these nuclei are located near the basal surface.
