Blast Cell

Blast cells are the cells from which erythrocytes, granulocytes, and lymphocytes are generated. They appear large, with round or oval nuclei and usually have conspicuous nucleoli. The cytoplasm is rather abundant in these cells, and usually appears basophilic.
