Stomach Pylorus

The mucosa of the pyloric antrum possesses deep gastric pits and gastric glands. The glands are notable because they contain G-cells, which secrete gastrin. Where do G-cells secrete gastrin? What cells does gastrin act upon?
Answer: Gastrin is secreted into the blood (NOT into the stomach lumen). It acts upon parietal cells to increase HCl secretion.
