Eosinophil

Eosinophils usually have bilobed nuclei and an orange or red granulated cytoplasm. These secondary granules contain peroxidase, lysosomal enzyme, and major basic protein. Eosinophils make up between 1 and 3% of the total white blood cells in the human blood, and are the largest in size of the granulocytes. During what type of infection would you expect to see large numbers of eosinophils?
Answer: Eosinophils would increase in number during parasitic infections.
